Darrell retired from NOK after 32 years in 2020. Since retiring from NOK, Darrell has been a dedicated and compassionate Community Outreach Partner. He selflessly gives his spare time to supporting outreach efforts in the LaGrange Community such as gleaning fresh produce in South GA to be distributed in LaG, transporting pallets of donated food commodities, setup of large community outreach events, and coordinating transportation when other trucks are needed. In addition, Darrell is usually the last to leave because he is blowing debris from the pavement in an effort to ensure we leave the premise as we found it.
With his heart of service and passion for serving others, he has partnered with Pay It Forward 2k15 (PIF2K15) for 5 continuous years. Through this partnership, Darrell Bonner – owner of Rocket Ice Cream Novelty LLC and PIF2K15 have consistently made profound impacts in the lives of individuals and families in need. His commitment, generosity, and willingness to serve exemplifies the true embodiment of Community Partnership as well as being an inspiration for others to give back to the community.
In addition to a plethora of community outreach efforts, Darrell can be found serving cool refreshing ice cream at events throughout LaGrange and surrounding areas since 2012. Through his ice cream business, he has donated ice cream during PIF2K15’s Back to School Bash and School Supply Giveaway, Easter Egg Hunts and Fall Festival. When not in the community working or giving of himself selflessly, he is employed with Weiler Forestry. Has been employed there since 2021.
